Participant Cancellation

2024 Summer camp policy:

If YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps cancels the session (due to recommendations by the CDC and/or local health authorities):

1. Camp families can choose to donate all or a portion of their camp fees to YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps. Donations help with the ongoing property care and community outreach as well as preparation work for summer which has already occurred and are tax-deductible, OR
2. Camp families can choose to roll their 2024 payments over to summer 2025. If rates increase from 2024 to 2025 the difference will be added to the family balance and needed to be paid before attending in 2025, OR
3. Camp families feeling the financial strain are eligible for a full refund less the $150 non-refundable deposit, OR
4. Some combination of donation/rollover/refund.

If a family wishes to cancel the session:

1. Full refunds, less the $150 non-refundable deposit will be offered up to March 15th.
2. Families are asked to consider donating a portion of their fees to YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps to help with the ongoing property care and community  outreach as well as preparation work for summer which has already occurred and are tax deductible.
3. If a family wishes to cancel a session between March 16th and June 1st, 50% of the camp fee will be refunded less the $150 non-refundable deposit.
4. If a family wishes to cancel a session between June 1st and up to two weeks before your session starts, 25% of the camp fee will be refunded less the $150 non-refundable deposit.
5. Refunds are not possible for cancellations that are within two weeks of the session start date or any no-show with no prior communication with YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps. If you are canceling due to medical challenges or extenuating circumstances please contact the Camp Director directly for further discussion.

We are grateful for all our camp families and their trust and loyalty over many years. If you must cancel and request a refund due to your family’s circumstances, we understand and hope you will consider joining us again in the future!
