HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It goes with out saying that 2020 has been a crazy year! We have all faced challenges, changes and a variety of emotions. The world is different and we have all had to find the silver lining during these challenging times. But, 2021 is here! Happy New Year! This is an opportunity to reflect on the past but to turn and now look to the future. Let’s be as hopeful, positive and optimistic as possible as we kick off 2021! Here at camp we have started planning for the 2021 summer season. We have started to hire staff, book permits and plan for what camp will look like as we follow the guidelines and policies set by our industry. Let’s look at the positives and start looking forward to events, celebrations and CAMP!

Bruce Cook - Camp Legend
HWH Camps have indeed some very supportive alumni and friends. One in particular is Mr. Bruce Cook, and over his lifetime has been a camper, alumni, donor, finance committee member and Board Member. His support and passion for HWH Camps is second to none.
Bruce Cook has been leading the work at the Cook Family Foundation for more than 40 years. His contributions of time, effort, and wisdom have shaped the philanthropy of the Cook Family. In 2020, Bruce Cook sat down and reflected on his legacy in this 8 minute video.
In this brief video you can hear for yourself what a remarkable man he really is and the personal impact camp had on his life in his own words. It is humbling and an honor to hear how Camp Hayo-Went-Ha was such an important part of his youth.
Bruce also recently celebrated a birthday so we would like to say Happy Birthday, and thank you for your invaluable contributions to YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps through the years!
