ADVENTURERS

Our Adventurer Program is the perfect introduction to YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps that have completed the third grade.

This two-week experience is all about the unlimited excitement of YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps. Campers will enjoy the Polar Bear Swim, ride the zipline, challenge themselves with our six climbing routes on the climbing wall, create great arts and crafts projects, learn how to sail and canoe, enjoy a game of ultimate frisbee or soccer and make a LOT of new friends!

Two great counselors, who are chosen for their great skills in working with these young campers, will guide and be outstanding role models for a two-week experience that will be filled with non-stop fun in the outdoors.

The Trip: Campers will kick off their adventure with a scenic canoe paddle across our lakes, leading to their overnight campsite. They’ll set up camp in the beautiful meadow at Torch, with access to the serene hammock forest in Nejee at Arbutus. This will be their first overnight experience with our program, and they’ll get to enjoy a cozy campfire, fun games, and finish the evening sleeping beneath the stunning Northern Michigan stars.
