The camp store will be open at each check-in and checkout, and limited items will be available for purchase. These include water bottles, t-shirts, camp hoodies, and shorts. Some items on the packing list can also be found in the camp store.
All spending money must be deposited in the Camp Store Wallet online prior to arrival. No currency is used in camp for obvious reasons. It will be explained to each camper how they can draw against their account as needed for laundry, personal trip purchases, and various camp store items (t-shirts, water bottles, lip balm, etc.). The suggested amount is $40.00 per week, but please note that hooded sweatshirts are available for $38, which should be figured above the recommended deposit amount. For a 2-week camp session, we suggest $80, and for 4 weeks, we suggest $150.
Please talk to your camper about their spending and budget. This is a great value discussion to have and learn about financial responsibility. All funds remaining at the end of the session can be donated to camp to support the campership fund to allow other campers to enjoy camp, spend at the store, or have a check mailed to you at the end of the summer. You will be given a slip to indicate your choice at check out. If families do not indicate what they would like to do with their extra funds, it will automatically be donated to the campership fund and will not roll over to the next year.
