Welcome to Hayo-Went-Ha Camps

Thank you for choosing YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps for your child’s summer camp experience!

Summer camp is a unique opportunity for campers to experience new things, meet new people, and grow into the people they are becoming! Hayo-Went-Ha Camps are even more so! The length of our programs and the extended trip opportunities that time creates become a laboratory for self-discovery that you will not find anywhere else.

I (Adam, Director of our Torch Lake camp) am excited to be looking at my second Hayo-Went-Ha summer! This summer will continue to be one of transition as we bring on a new director at our Arbutus Lake camp and continue to grow a team that will serve as a source of growth for years to come. We are committed to building on the traditions of our two camps and on our reputation for safe, quality programming.

In this section of our website, you will find all the information needed to support you in registration, help your camper get ready for the summer, and help you understand more about what you should expect from their time with us this summer. Below are categories of information, as well as a place to search for anything you are having trouble finding.

It takes a village to run a camp! You play an important role in helping your camper get ready for camp, supporting them while they are there, and helping them process all the emotions of a Hayo-Went-Ha Camps summer when they come home! We see our campers’ caregivers as partners in a successful summer.

When in doubt, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help!

Each for All,

Adam Delezenne
Director of YMCA Camp Hayo-Went-Ha on Torch Lake

Amanda Macaluso,
Interim Director of YMCA Arbutus Hayo-Went-Ha and Director of Alumni and Community Development, State YMCA of Michigan
