As part of the unforgettable Bushwhackers experience, campers embark on a seven-day backpacking journey through Michigan’s stunning Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, a true wilderness gem of the Upper Peninsula. Following trails that wind along sandstone cliffs, campers are treated to breathtaking views of Lake Superior’s endless blue waters. Along the way, they master essential backcountry skills like preparing meals with dehydrated food, filtering fresh water, and navigating the trail.
This adventure not only pushes personal limits but fosters a deep sense of camaraderie as campers learn to work together in the backcountry. It’s a transformative journey where every challenge met builds confidence and resilience.
Upon returning to camp, the adventure continues with a two-week immersion into a variety of classic activities, from arts & crafts and archery to conquering the climbing tower and ropes course. Campers bring back not just stories of their adventure, but newfound skills and a stronger sense of community, ready to dive into the full camp experience alongside their cabin group.
