The Bush Ranger/Nejee Ranger Program offers an extraordinary fourteen-day canoeing expedition through the breathtaking Killarney Provincial Park, nestled in the remote Canadian wilderness south of Sudbury, Ontario. This adventure takes campers deep into the heart of the park, where towering pines, sparkling lakes, and untouched natural beauty provide the perfect backdrop for learning true wilderness expeditionary travel.

Campers will paddle through interconnected lakes and rivers, portaging their canoes on foot to bypass waterfalls and other natural obstacles. Starting and finishing at Widgewa Lodge on the park’s western edge, the group will camp along the rugged granite shorelines as they navigate the pristine waterways. The experience pushes campers to master essential backcountry skills and develop strong teamwork, creating bonds that will last a lifetime.

Highlights of the trip include a challenging hike up Silver Peak, where campers will be rewarded with stunning 360° views of the entire park, and a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Topaz after a long portage. Before heading into the wild, campers spend the first week at camp honing their canoeing skills on Torch Lake under the guidance of our canoe expert.
