PATHFINDER PROGRAM

As Pathfinders, campers spend three days at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore hiking up steep dunes to catch stunning views and playing on the shores of Lake Michigan. Your child will expand her knowledge of backcountry living while spending two nights sleeping in a tent, helping staff cook meals over a camp stove, and bonding with her cabin mates. During the rest of the two weeks at camp, your child will participate in our fun and exciting activities, including paddle boarding, the climbing tower, and arts & crafts.

The Pathfinder Program is also available in a 4-week session if you register for 2 x two week sessions. Please note that the trip and activities will be repeated but with different staff, cabin mates, and the opportunity for the campers to provide leadership and insight along the way. You will need to pick up your camper between each two-week session as there will not be the staff available for supervision and programming at this time.

TRIP LOCATION

The Sleeping Bear Dunes are located west of camp on the shores of Lake Michigan. For more information about the location of this trip, check out the Sleeping Bear Dunes website. The Pathfinder Program is also available in a 4-week session. Please note that the trip and activities will be repeated but with different staff, cabin mates and the opportunity for the campers to provide leadership and insight on the trip.

Pathfinders are some of the most energetic girls on camp. The Sleeping Bear Dunes provide the perfect challenge for girls this age. It's so much fun to watch Pathfinders become more comfortable outdoors, improve self-confidence, and grow close with their cabin mates. Camp provides an opportunity for younger girls to reconnect to nature and escape the stresses of school and technology, and to be surrounded by encouraging and open-minded peers and staff who deeply care about each other.
