DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Summer with YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps at Short’s Brewing Co.\nYMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps\, with residential camp locations on Torch Lake and Arbutus Lake\, welcomes campers from more than 38 states each summer. Through wilderness adventures\, meaningful friendships\, and intentional youth development\, campers gain confidence\, independence\, leadership skills\, and lifelong memories as they hike\, canoe or bike in state and national parks throughout Michigan and Southern Ontario. \nThis summer\, alumni\, families\, friends\, and community supporters are invited to gather for a special celebration in the heart of Northern Michigan. Join us for the Friends of Hayo-Went-Ha Camps Summer Gathering on Friday\, July 17\, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Short’s Brewing Company Pull Barn & Production Facility in Elk Rapids\,  \nEach July\, the Hayo-Went-Ha Camps Board of Directors travels from across the country to meet in person\, and this annual gathering brings together the broader camp community for an afternoon of connection\, celebration\, and camp spirit. Whether you grew up on the shores of Torch Lake or Arbutus Lake\, sent your children to camp\, or simply believe in the mission of Hayo-Went-Ha Camps\, this event is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and meet others who share a love for camp. \nGuests will have the opportunity to meet board members\, share camp stories\, reconnect with old friends\, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of Short’s Brewing Company. \nA very exciting announcement will also be made at 5:00 p.m. during the event regarding a significant initiative that will help shape the future of Hayo-Went-Ha Camps and preserve this special place for generations to come. \nEvent Details\nWhen: Friday\, July 17\, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Special Announcement: 5:00 p.m. \nWhere: Short’s Brewing Company Pull Barn & Production Facility\, Elk Rapids\, Michigan \nWho: Open to all alumni\, families\, friends\, and supporters of YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps \nNo RSVP is required. DESCRIPTION:Hayo-Hike Day Is Going National (and International!) \nOn April 25\, the Hayo-Went-Ha Camps community will be gathering across the country\, and even around the world\, for National Hayo-Hike Day. From coast to coast\, alumni\, families\, and friends are coming together to get outside\, reconnect\, and celebrate the camp spirit. \nEach hike is uniquely led by members of our alumni community and reflects the love of connection that defines Hayo-Went-Ha camps. You are welcome to join a Hayo-Hike in your area. It is a great opportunity to share stories\, build connections\, and celebrate camp. \nNo matter where you are\, you can be part of Hayo-Hike Day. Join a local hike\, gather a few friends of your own\, or simply spend time outside and share your experience with the camp community.
